![]() I don’t get how on earth the Plex add-on can do it, the PMP app can do it, and the Plex Android TV app can’t. Moreover, the DTS:X Ultra & DTS Headphone:X is designed for bringing spatial audio experience. ![]() He has provided a port for the Install DTS:X Ultra & DTS Headphone:X which can be installed on Android devices running on Android 9 Pie. I tried the same file on Kodi with Plex add on and everything played fine… the app downgraded automatically the DTS HD to DTS core and the file played just fine. A big thanks to UltraM8, one of the Senior Members of the Xda Developers team. In old PMP and in Plex add on for Kodi, there is an option to add your audio system setup (5.1/7.1 or capability on decoding certain formats) so the app will do the necessary downscaling from DTS-HD -> DTS core. Same file on the Android TV app is not playing, it has the shuttering case described above. I have PMP on a mac mini that is connected to my Sony OLED AF8 (which is then connected via ARC to an amp) and when i am watching a MKV with DTS-HD, Plex PMP automatically passes DTS 5.1 and everything plays fine. ![]() The Android TV app should automatically ‘downgrade’ DTS-HD to DTS core, similar to what the Plex Media Player is doing. ![]() The master MQA file is fully authenticated and is small enough to stream or download, while also being backward compatible. I am trying to play a movie with DTS-HD via ARC and unfortunately the Android TV app doesn’t downgrade the audio to DTS code and it’s not playable (i suppose due to HDMI bandwidth issues). USB Audio Player PRO is the first generic audio player on Android featuring an MQA decoder. ![]()
